Why Read: First of all I didn't even remember that I had this book in my kindle. I just remembered it because I saw the second book on book sale for a cheap price and read the synopsis and find the book intriguing. So I was force to read the first one which is this and read it for only 2 days! That's how I enjoyed it.
What I Like: I'm a fan of hard core, kick ass women as a protagonist. I don't know why but it always, ALWAYS sucks me in immediately and there is no stopping. It kinda reminds me of Buffy The Vampire Slayer actually.  This novel is a dark and fast paced read, A lot are going on to the story. The steamy romance, urgh! Its so good! Kiddos be warned for explicit scenes. I love how this ended that it kept me wanting for more.
What Disappointed Me: One down fall of this is the main climax! Its was too bland and fast. I wasn't satisfied with how they ended the antagonist like it was just to get it over with. Like, they have gone a lot of trouble for that kind of climax. Its just not fair for a reader.

NOPE! Its just all wrong for me. SORRY! :/

 photo ShabbyBlogsRetroTag5.jpg photo ShabbyBlogsRetroTag2.jpg
Why Read: I signed up for Audibles.com and got a free book which is this one. I don't know why  or maybe I forgot the reason that I gave myself why I got this instead of new released books. But I do know that this has a good reviews.
What I Like: There are some point of uniqueness from the plot that I enjoyed, One is that wizards and witches are being accepted or known in their society and vampires as well or werewolves too, I guess.
Likable female protagonist which is rare these days with all the new books that are coming out that has shallow characters that is very hard to connect to sometimes. But for this one, traits that I look for female protagonist are smart, witty and independent kick ass. On the love story, its quite weird but exciting as well.
What Disappointed Me: The resolution of this novel was too easy for me, If you know what I mean. I wasn't that impressed with how they found out and killed the antagonist in the book. It was all too fast and not that surprising.
 photo ShabbyBlogsRetroTag3.jpg photo ShabbyBlogsRetroTag4.jpg
Sad to say, again I don't like the book cover. If I were to see this on book stores. I might not be able to even glance on it because its too bland for my taste and the illustration doesn't give that much excitement for my eyes. Just my opinion. :) Sorry!

What happens when you're stalked by Death? You fall in love with him, of course.

Pagan Moore doesn't cheat Death, but instead, falls in love with him.

Seventeen year old Pagan Moore has seen souls her entire life. Once she realized the strangers she often saw walking through walls were not visible to anyone else, she started ignoring them. If she didn't let them know she could see them, then they left her alone. Until she stepped out of her car the first day of school and saw an incredibly sexy guy lounging on a picnic table, watching her with an amused smirk on his face. Problem is, she knows he's dead.

Not only does he not go away when she ignores him, but he does something none of the others have ever done. He speaks. Pagan is fascinated by the soul. What she doesn't realize is that her appointed time to die is drawing near and the wickedly beautiful soul she is falling in love with is not a soul at all.

He is Death and he's about to break all the rules.

WHY READ: I was just browsing along facebook and a friend of mine posted this and I got intrigued. Went to Goodreads.com to see how good is this novel. It turns out it had 4 1/2 stars and good reviews. I wont miss a 4 stared book.
WHAT I LIKED: This was a intense light read. I must say this is a good book for any age. This drew me in cause of the setting and the concept, I guess. Happens on present day with gods, deities, souls or ghost and immortals are roaming around this book. You know me! I'am a aficionado when it comes to these types of genre and that was the sole reason why I read this book fast! The love story was a bit exciting because of the love triangle going on. But the main lover boy here "Dank Walker" such a hottie singer! He quite remind me of my boyfriend with the composing of a short song for me. Which I don't hear anymore:"c anyway going back. I love the idea of Dank secretly "lullabying" (if that's a word) Pagan, the female protagonist every night   His love for her was admirable and plain SWEET! I felt really jealous. It was indeed an exciting read and I got really hooked somehow.
WHAT DISAPPOINTED ME: Two disappointments.
 1. The protagonist is such an easy character and very unrealistic. Who fall's inlove that FAST!?!
2. Different plot but same predictable endings. I feel that I already read this book from different authors. This  somehow reminded me of Allyson Noel's The Immortals Series so if your into that book, I guess you'll love this.

I"AM CRAZY ABOUT THE COVER!!
I love it! I think this would even make it to my book cover crush list! Breathtaking cover. PERIOD!

3 raybans!
I feel that I'll still read the 2nd installment of this which is "Predestined" I was left hanging in the end and I wanna know what happens next cause the ending was really a shocker! I have to know. SERIOUSLY! aha
Anyway watch out for that and thank you all for reading!
Leaving you with Dank's lullaby for Pagan. Real sweet!
BYEEEE......:)

In this delightful debut, Sparks offers a fun romance with a touch of the supernatural. Already hiding out from the Russian mob, the last thing beautiful dentist Shanna Whelan needs is to be smitten with a handsome vampire in need of dental work. Original.
Photobucket
WHY READ: This is the first novel I finished reading from Kerrelyn Sparks. The Very first book I read from her is The Undead Next Door, I wasn't able to finish that cause I somehow forgot to read it again BUT I enjoyed reading it! that's why I convinced myself to read them all in order and which brought me to this book.
WHAT I LIKE: I LOVE the ideas that this novel has, I guess that's what keeps me going. This made me LAUGH. This is a very, super, duper LIGHT paranormal romantce and funny read.
WHAT DISAPPOINTED ME: Felt like this is a parody novel from the vampire hype these days. Maybe I read too much great vampy books that made my standards higher in reading a paranormal romance novels. I find it mawkish for my taste and didn't went crazy for it. There are TONS of paranormal romance novels out there greater than this, I admit.
Photobucket
For the book cover, I really like it actually.
It made me curious and interested to read the book which is good, right?
attracting readers is a good thing for book covers. That made me feel about this book.

I only finish this book cause as much as possible I don't like leaving the books hanging. I want to finish them all whether good or bad it is, but if its worst, I better burn the book. ahaha So yeah, truth be told.

WHY READ: When I saw this at National Bookstore, I felt a tinge of familiarity. Like I know to myself that I saw this book already in some book bloggers that I'am subscribed to but I didn't know if it was praised or rejected. So luckily I had my Ipod touch with me and went to Goodreads.com and it has 4 and a half stars and great reviews. So I have to get it but I didn't buy it yet. It was Christmas then when I saw this and at work, we had a exchange gift going on. The exchange gift procedure was you can give hints or list to whoever picked your name or the unknown partner what you would like to receive. So I hinted this and luckily I got it!
WHAT I LIKE: This made me head over heels in love again. This perfectly fits the definition of paranormal romance. It has that dark sexy and sophisticated atmosphere in the novel. Very enthralling to read. I got hooked instantly. Every character  here has a purpose that'll give a contribution to the sexiness to the story haha The main character  here is Elena, strong, independent warrior. Also a funny character. I love everything about her. She isn't that typical women protagonist in paranormal romance story. Thank God! I really hate that type of protagonist in a paranormal romance novel who easily fall in love Instantly to a handsome, dark etc.. male protagonist. I really don't get that and its super unrealistic. Thankfully to Nalini Singh, the author controlled her women. I think that is the factor that made this perfect for a romantic novel.
And ofcourse the very alluring archangel Raphael, who is the male protagonist of Elena. Super hot as usual. I love the way the author made him very possesive. Very sexy written and made my heart melt!!!! ugh!
This has soooo many great points that made me treasure this novel that I cannot write anymore. I'am making this short as possible. Anyway The plot is fast paced and action packed. The blending of romance action is very well written and balanced through out the book. Every romance fan out there will be satisfied with the love story of Elena and Raphael.Very intense and beautiful couple.
WHAT DISAPPOINTED ME:  NONE whatsoever. I enjoyed every bit of it! SERIOUSLY!

Photobucket
The book cover that I saw wasn't this. I was looking at the other cover, where a blonde women was looking up. That was better than this. I didn't expect that my exchange gift partner would get this but she got it anyway. I didn't like the book cover. Very gothic and dark. I was literally scared when I saw this first. I much prefer the other blonde women cover. ahaha
 Photobucket
Definitely have to read! This is my first book by Nalini Singh and she didn't disapoint me.
I'll definitely going to get more from her.
GREAT READ!

WHY READ: The time I got this, I was looking for a good paranormal romance read. I was browsing along some books at our local bookstore for hours and the synopsis at the back of this caught my attention. Eventhough I know It's a very cliche story line especially now a days that a lot of Y.A books coming out.
WHAT I LIKE: I had no idea what type of paranormal creature this book has. The time I was reading it deeper and deeper, I realized that it was a wereworlf. I have to bring this out. I'am not a fan of wolves. If I knew this was a werewolf story, I shouldn't have got it BUT! I still had the nerve to finish it and I did.
Boy, you'll never know what this book got me! I loved it! The ending was soooo fantastic and especially the action scenes was entertaining for me. This is my first ever werewolf novel I read and I enjoyed it:) Definitely, going to read the second installment!
WHAT DISAPPOINTED ME: The first few chapters was ok. When I got to the middle part I was terribly lost and died of boredom! aaarrrghhh! I hate it when they do that to novels. It brings you to the hype and drags you down suddenly! WTF! My complaint, REMOVE UNNECESSARY DETAILS!
Photobucket
I wasn't attracted by the book cover. To tell you the truth I don't like it.
The only thing that got me to buy this is because of it's synopsis which is soooo rarely happens to me.
SERIOUSLY!

Given that, I still got the second book which is "Secrets And Shadows".
Better watch that out and thank you for reading!
