Todd Hewitt is the only boy in a town of men. Ever since the settlers were infected with the Noise germ, Todd can hear everything the men think, and they hear everything he thinks. Todd is just a month away from becoming a man, but in the midst of the cacophony, he knows that the town is hiding something from him -- something so awful Todd is forced to flee with only his dog, whose simple, loyal voice he hears too. With hostile men from the town in pursuit, the two stumble upon a strange and eerily silent creature: a girl. Who is she? Why wasn't she killed by the germ like all the females on New World? Propelled by Todd's gritty narration, readers are in for a white-knuckle journey in which a boy on the cusp of manhood must unlearn everything he knows in order to figure out who he truly is.

Why Read: This was recommended by a book tuber from TheReadables, check out her channel. You will enjoy watching her.
What I Like: Uniqueness of the story or the plot is one thing that I enjoyed from this novel especially the part that characters can read everyone's thoughts is very interesting to me especially if you put yourself into their world. Nothing is hidden. Scary! The world building at first was a bit hard to see but eventually it will pick up, I was able to grasp it. There was still a lot of hidden mystery within the world and the characters that helped me read more of it. I could say that this was a creative story on a intellectual level, its dark and even deeper when you get to the ending that will make you want to get the next book fast!
What Disappointed Me: The pacing was a bit slow for me. There is a time that I got bored with it and had a bit of a hard time going back to it again.

Fantastic! I'm more of a words and symbols when it comes to covers thought I would prefer the other book covers of these their more creative but none the less I still like it.

Recruitment Day is here...if you fail, a loved one will die...

For Lucian “Lucky” Spark, Recruitment Day means the Establishment, a totalitarian government, will force him to become one of five Recruits competing to join the ruthless Imposer task force. Each Recruit participates in increasingly difficult and violent military training for a chance to advance to the next level. Those who fail must choose an “Incentive”—a family member—to be brutally killed. If Lucky fails, he’ll have to choose death for his only living relative: Cole, his four-year-old brother.

Lucky will do everything he can to keep his brother alive, even if it means sacrificing the lives of other Recruits’ loved ones. What Lucky isn’t prepared for is his undeniable attraction to the handsome, rebellious Digory Tycho. While Lucky and Digory train together, their relationship grows. But daring to care for another Recruit in a world where love is used as the ultimate weapon is extremely dangerous. As Lucky soon learns, the consequences can be deadly

Why Read: Not sure where I first heard or saw this novel but it got me interested because of the synopsis. It was quite intriguing and a tad bit similar to Hunger Games or any dystopian books I read to tell you frankly. Plus I also saw the rating on this in Goodreads its 4 1/2 stars so really wanted to read it.
What I Like: The writing style and pacing of the story was good, I was reading this non stop. The main characters were likable that you can easily be attached to them. Another thing I like about this novel is that there is LOVE TRIANGLE drama is different though the romance aspect of the novel is different from the books I've read (Trying my best to stay spoiler free haha!) The plot was amazing! Beautiful and brutal at the same time. The government recruites teens in a grueling military training consequence of every failure they make is not their own death but the death of their love ones in front of them. SICK! I know.
What Disappointed Me: There is still questions in my mind about the novel. Mainly is the settings.
I really wanna know or learn more about the world which is lacking in the novel.

Whenever I see book covers such as these, Like giving you a glimpse of a scene and of what the vibe of the world would look like, It gives me goosebumps sometimes especially novels that are horror or dystopian. I feel trap, helpless and  scared though I guess that's part of why a good book should be. I could say I like it cause it helped me feel emotionally attached to the vibe of the novel which is good.

Thomas knows that Wicked can't be trusted, but they say the time for lies is over, that they've collected all they can from the Trials and now must rely on the Gladers, with full memories restored, to help them with their ultimate mission. It's up to the Gladers to complete the blueprint for the cure to the Flare with a final voluntary test.

What Wicked doesn't know is that something's happened that no Trial or Variable could have foreseen. Thomas has remembered far more than they think. And he knows that he can't believe a word of what Wicked says.

The time for lies is over. But the truth is more dangerous than Thomas could ever imagine.
Will anyone survive the Death Cure?

WHY READ: This was a series. Have to read all.
WHAT I LIKE: This was way better than the second book, The Scorch Trial. I got pretty excited when I started reading this cause of the action packed scenes, the thrill it gave to its readers, the horrific tragedies that most of my favorite character got into and most especially SOME answers to my countless questions in my head! Thankfully, somehow it cleared a few out. The story was fast paced. It's great that I noticed myself continuously ravishing pages! Every bit of the novel got me hooked, the turn of events was WOW! Plot was well executed and intelligent. I really enjoyed this trilogy, it was very intelligent, no cheesy love dramas, the writing was on point. I would recommend it to anyone, not just young adults
WHAT DISAPPOINTED ME:  There are still questions left unanswered. The ending was okay for me. I guess a lot were disappointed though because they weren't satisfied with how it turned out with the immunes. I felt that the part of scientists getting a brain out was WAY OVER BOARD! Its not that realistic for me anymore. SERIOUSLY ahaha no,no,no,no.

The book cover is good. I'am not crazy about it. Somehow gave me idea what the setting of the novel looks like. I guess same with the other series. It gives you an idea of how their world looks like.

 Maze Runner (Book 1)
The Scorch Trial (Book 2)

GREAT NEWS!
Before WICKED was formed, before the Glade was built, before Thomas entered the Maze, sun flares hit the earth and mankind fell to disease.

The Kill Order is the story of that fall.

A prequel to the Maze Runner trilogy, The Kill Order has been in the works since the completion of The Maze Runner. The  story of civilization's fall was kept under wraps and is the explication of the events that began this bestselling series.
RELEASE DATE: August 14,2012
I'am SUPER EXCITED!!!!!

Solving the Maze was supposed to be the end. No more puzzles. No more variables. And no more running. Thomas was sure that escape meant he and the Gladers would get their lives back. But no one really knew what sort of life they were going back to.
In the Maze, life was easy. They had food, and shelter, and safety . . . until Teresa triggered the end. In the world outside the Maze, however, the end was triggered long ago.
Burned by sun flares and baked by a new, brutal climate, the earth is a wasteland. Government has disintegrated—and with it, order—and now Cranks, people covered in festering wounds and driven to murderous insanity by the infectious disease known as the Flare, roam the crumbling cities hunting for their next victim . . . and meal.
The Gladers are far from finished with running. Instead of freedom, they find themselves faced with another trial. They must cross the Scorch, the most burned-out section of the world, and arrive at a safe haven in two weeks. And WICKED has made sure to adjust the variables and stack the odds against them.
Thomas can only wonder—does he hold the secret of freedom somewhere in his mind? Or will he forever be at the mercy of WICKED?

WHY READ: I started this series last month, gotta end it.
WHAT I LIKE: I have to say,This book made me feel exhausted, In a good way of courseOnce again James Dashner has taken me on an adventure that made me feel great and many emotions plunged in me.  I can say that this book was more serious than the previous book, it gives off a more overwhelming feeling of desperation than it's previous. The Scorch Trials started where The Maze Runner left off as if they weren't two different books and you definitely get a bit information, yet you still feel lost throughout the story. New characters are also introduced. I had fun with the supporting characters though, making the novel more  fun to read.
WHAT DISAPPOINTED ME:
You know, there's a difference between creating suspense and just … being annoying. This book did more of the latter than the former.

Reading this actually feels a lot like watching the TV show Lost:
* Changing leaders
* Mysterious but intriguing clues to never-sure-what
* Romantic triangles
* Never sure who the good guys are
* Never sure who is actually manipulating the events
* Mysterious technology
* A world that doesn't react like you expect
* Worry if the ending will be good enough
* Worry if the ending will give answers to all my questions!

The book cover is GREAT! I love looking its cover. It'll give that feeling that your in the story ad trapped with all the horrible trials or "variables" that the scary people made just for you.
waaaahhhhh! ahaha

Yep, felt a tinge of anger with this book. Left me still in the dark.
not knowing what is happening but the end part was the bomb!
Hopefully the next last installment will definitely clarify EVERYTHING!

When Thomas wakes up in the lift, the only thing he can remember is his first name. His memory is blank. But he’s not alone. When the lift’s doors open, Thomas finds himself surrounded by kids who welcome him to the Glade—a large, open expanse surrounded by stone walls.
Just like Thomas, the Gladers don’t know why or how they got to the Glade. All they know is that every morning the stone doors to the maze that surrounds them have opened. Every night they’ve closed tight. And every 30 days a new boy has been delivered in the lift.
Thomas was expected. But the next day, a girl is sent up—the first girl to ever arrive in the Glade. And more surprising yet is the message she delivers.
Thomas might be more important than he could ever guess. If only he could unlock the dark secrets buried within his mind.

WHY READ: I knew this book way back last year by hmmmm... I forgot who specific person I heard this from cause I was hearing tons of raves about this from different people but I'am guessing it's from a youtuber Misschievious. Anyway! I read great reviews about this book and seems pretty unique plot from the synopsis and I bought a ebook version immediately and found a time to read it at last.
WHAT I LIKE: This did not disappoint me. This took me like 2 days and that's a great sign that this is an AMAZING novel. The plot was fast paced, suspenseful and full of surprises. The twists and turns this book took shocked me unlike any other book I've read. This is similar to the Hunger Games, So if you like that type of series, You'll like this much or a little bit more.
I love every single characters that this book has, I find every character interesting and has a unique personality. I can't stress enough how this book kept me late at nights even made me anxious ugh!
I really love that feeling how books makes me do and feel that. Great great two thumbs up!
WHAT DISAPPOINTED ME: Two things I hate about this book.
1. I don't know why, but the character's don't like answering questions that the protagonist asks about what's going on even me I was asking but nada! That was soooo annoying but I understand that maybe that was the author's way of agonizing its readers but later on everything goes straight.
2. The kids have a very creative lingo that at first at was AGAIN annoying cause I didn't understand I practically keep consulting the dictionary but it doesn't make sense and after a awhile I get the hang of their language.

I like the book cover, It gives you a glimpse of how the setting of this novel looks like.
It scared me to be locked up in that kind of environment. I admit, at first glance of the book cover it won't be something that I will be interested in. But I guess if you read it you'll learn to appreciate the book cover more.

PERFECT!
This kept me all night long thinking and wondering. Even scared!
It was indeed a great pleasure to read such fine novels which are hard to find these days.
I recommend this 100%!

Thank you for reading!
